About Carrie

Hi! I’m Carrie. My business is inspired and curated by my love for gathering and sharing food with the people that I care about the most. The act of “grazing” is my favorite way to eat. I love to nibble and pair foods in interesting and exciting combinations. I try to elevate the dining experience, excite the pallet, and entertain with style, beauty and flavor. I hope to inspire and encourage you to do the same for your own gatherings.

I started Graze by Carrie in April of 2021. I operate out of the kitchen at Something Plume in Columbia, MO. I’ve been featured in Feast online magazine, and CoMo Magazine. I teach charcuterie workshops for private and public events and corporate team building. I find the greatest joy in knowing that Graze is a part of life’s most special, gathering moments.

I live in Columbia, MO with my husband and greatest champion, Mark two children, Betsy and Drew, and cat, Spunky. I work full time in advancement for the College of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources at my alma mater, the University of Missouri. When I’m not raising money for Mizzou, or Grazing, I love to decorate my house (I’m a homebody at heart), Jazzercise, read, hike and travel. Just about any beach is my happiest place on earth.

About the Products

Cheese

A variety of artisan quality cheese is included in each box and is based on availability. It is typical to find a cow’s milk cheese such as white cheddar and brie, goat’s milk, such as chevre, and sheep’s milk, such as manchego.

Meat

Meat is cured and pork or beef based. Varieties include salami, pepperoni, summer sausage and prosciutto. Some are thinly sliced deli-style and some are sliced from sticks or rounds.

Crackers

Crackers are salted and plain (i.e. water cracker, butter crisp, and/or fig crisp). They are on the side rather than on the board. Gluten free options are available. Please specify “gluten-free” in your order.

Spreads

Spreads include a variety of jams—I love Janet’s Compotes, a family company from Kansas City, or local honey from Stem to Table.

Sweet/Savory

Sweet items could include chocolates, cookies, candies and fresh or dried fruit. Savory items are often pickles, olives, nuts or vegetables.

Greenery

Boards and boxes include greenery items such as rosemary, mint leaves or floral elements. Extra greenery can be purchased to enhance the look of the board.
